Come out to support the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens raising Breast Cancer Awareness in the Cayman Islands. 

$25 Adult Registration. $10 Age 8 to 12. FREE Under 8's
(no event shirts for FREE Under 8 entries)

Registration will be online at www.caymanactive.com/registrations

The first 400 registrants can collect shirts and gift bags from the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens Pink Shop in Elizabethan Square from Monday 21st September from 10am to 4pm daily, EXCLUDING WEEKENDS.

The organisation with the most participants will win the Corporate Cup.

TIMING: Runners will be officially timed to give participants their individual times for completing the course. Walkers will not be timed.

Age group winners in the run will receive 1st 2nd and 3rd place trophies.

Routes:

  • Cayman Brac - out and back from the Brac Reef Resort.
  • North Side - out and back from Kaibo Beach.
  • Seven Mile Beach 10K is from SMB Public Beach to the Wharf Restaurant and back.
  • Seven Mile Beach 5K is from the SMB Public Beach to Hemmingways and back.

There will be two FREE build-up events in the Triathlon Training Series available to CI Triathlon Association members this year. 

Transition will open at 6am, with the ‘race’ starting at 6.45am.

Race 1: Sunday September 6th:

  • Sprint Build-Up distances: 375m swim, 6.2 mile bike and 1.55 mile run
  • Olympic Build-Up distances: 750m swim, 12.4 mile bike and 3.1 mile run


Race 2: Sunday September 27th:

  • Sprint - distances to be confirmed
  • Olympic – distances to be confirmed


These races are all self-supporting. CITA will provide water and ice in the transition area, however athletes are encouraged to bring any additional refreshments or equipment they feel they will need. The courses will be marked but with limited marshals and open roads.

All participants are required to be CITA members. If you are not a CITA member you can register now for just $15 for the year.

This is a fun series designed to help athletes train and prepare for race day. Please be mindful and supportive of the new athletes on the course for the first time!

Come out and join the Hope for Today Foundation for our 8th annual 5k Walk/Run for recovery!

Save the 2020 date... Sunday 27th September with a 7am start.

Additional details will be confirmed nearer the time. Below details from 2019 are subject to change.

  • FREE Evening Event. Optional fundraising $10 raffle tickets
  • 29th September 2019
  • Starting at Seven Mile Public Beach
  • Walk 6pm / Run 6:15pm

Raffle prizes include Holiday Inn Staycation, Westin Staycation, Dinner for 2 of the Lobster Pot.. plus many more prizes!

Hope For Today Foundation is a coalition of volunteers dedicated to helping and supporting recovering drug addicts and alcoholics through transition from prison or treatment community life. The Hope Foundation programme provides a secure, safe and stable haven for individuals to gradually work their way back to a purposeful life. 

The Annual Hope Foundation Walk/Run for recovery is one of our key fundraising events, with proceeds from the raffle going straight to the costs of our transitional housing within the community.

CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank’s 9th Annual Walk for the Cure (Runners are welcome!) with all proceeds benefiting the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.

Expected date is Sunday October 4th 2020 from Seven Mile Public Beach.

Full details to be confirmed. Below, for reference are 2019 event details. These are subject to change.

Time: Grouping from 6am. Followed by 6:30am start.

Route: 5k Walk / Run from Public Beach 

Registration Fees:

  • $20 Adults 12 and up / $10 Children Age 3 to 11 / FREE Under Age 3.

T-Shirts included subject to limited numbers.

Thank you refreshments and prize giveaways at Public Beach post walk.

Donations are accepted as well to the Walk for the Cure account. All proceeds benefit the Cayman Islands Cancer Society. Speak to a CIBC First Caribbean Customer Service Representative TODAY!

Given recent events we are postponing this event and tentatively rescheduling for Saturday October 10th 2020. We hope you can still join us and we will confirm the date as soon as we can.

 

Come out and join us at our 2020 Autism Awareness 5k Walk / Run.

This annual event is run by staff at LightHouse school to help raise awareness of autism and autism education in the Cayman Islands.

Registration fees:
- $25 for adult runners (running vest, bib, and timed run included)
- $20 for adult walkers
- $10 for kids (ages 13 - 17)
- free for kids (12 and under).

The runners will start at 7:15 am, and the walkers will commence at 7:20 am.

*T- shirts and running vests are included with the registration fee while supplies last. T-shirt can be bought for kids 12 and under.

Join us for the 2020 "To Hell and Back" 10k (an official "Pirates Week Event") on Sunday11th October.

The first 50 paid registrants will receive a free t-shirt.

Awards for the top three male and female in each age group category.

Entry fee: $25 (or pay $40 if you register and pay for the Pirates Week 5k at the same time)

Start Time: 7am

Start Point: Raleigh Quay Road (Next to the Kimpton Seafire Hotel).

Finish Point: Calico Jack's, Seven Mile Public Beach.

Post Race: Breakfast and Awards Ceremony at Calico Jack's. Fantastic spot prizes available!

Route: Raleigh Quay, towards Tikki Beach, then up West Bay Road, Town Hall Road, Hell Road (turnaround at Devil's Hangout / Hell post office), retrace route to starting point then continue down the side of the by-pass and run around into the entrance of Public Beach car park, finishing at Calico Jack's.

Electronic chip timing by Race Caribbean will provide accurate times.

The Cayman Islands Triathlon is one of the Cayman Islands’ premier annual sporting events that attracts a strong field of local and international competitors, as well as keen amateurs and spectators. ...

The Cayman Islands Triathlon is one of the Cayman Islands’ premier annual sporting events that attracts a strong field of local and international competitors, as well as keen amateurs and spectators. Organised by the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association, the event is held at Public Beach, along Cayman's world-famous Seven Mile Beach.

Athletes have a choice of 2 race distances:

  • Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 12.4 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
  • Olympic Distance: 1500m swim, 24.8 mile bike, 6.2 mile run

Athletes have the option to take part as an individual or a 2 or 3 person team for the Olympic Distance.

The 2020 race will be held on Sunday October 18th with the option to race the Sprint or Olympic distances. Two and three person relay teams available for the Olympic distance.

There are few better places in the world to host a triathlon than the Cayman Islands. Triathletes delight in our great weather, clear and warm waters, good roads for cycling and running and the multitude of activities that athletes and their families can enjoy during their post-race vacation. See you on the course!

Bike-O-Ween is a Halloween Charitable Bike Ride geared towards raising funds for two picked Non-profit Organization in the Cayman Islands. Costume your bike and yourself for the spookiest community celebration from West Bay Road to George Town. All cyclists and Non-cyclists are welcome to pedal for a good cause. 

Registration Fee: $25.00. Please note you can pledge more on the day of the race. Visit https://eventpro.ky/buytickets/bike-o-ween-pedal-for-a-cause to register.

Event Restrictions: No kids are allowed due to the start time and liability factors. Strictly no refunds. All funds raised from this event will be donated to both Charities.
