The 2019 Pan American Games, officially the XVIII Pan American Games, will be held in Lima, Peru from July 26 to August 11, 2019.


The Cayman Islands will be represented by 6 athletes across 4 sports:



  • Athletics;

    • Kemar Hyman - 100m



  • Gymnastics;

    • Raegan Rutty - Floor, Vault, Uneven Bars, Individual All-Around



  • Sailing;

    • Jesse Jackson - Laser Standard



  • Swimming;

    • Brett Fraser - 50m Free, 100m Free, 100m Butterfly

    • John Bodden - 200 Butterfly, 400m Free, 1500m Free

    • Lauren Hew - 50m Free, 100m Free, 200m Free




The Cayman Islands first competed at the Pan American Games held in San Juan, Puerto Rico 1979. 


Since that time we have competed in every edition for a total of 10 Games to date. The 2019 Games will be our 11th. Prior to 2019 Cayman has won 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze within the last 8 years.

To celebrate Women's Dive Day 2019, Dive Tech will bring together women hand in hand an attempt to break their own world record! The event will take place at DiveTech's shore diving site, LightHouse ...

To celebrate Women's Dive Day 2019, Dive Tech will bring together women hand in hand an attempt to break their own world record!


The event will take place at DiveTech's shore diving site, LightHouse Point and their ambition is to break their own world record, which they set in July 2018 when 86 female divers created a human chain along a 300ft line suspended at 15ft.


The event last year raised US$3000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation and we hope we can exceed that total this time, with your help!


The aim is to have 100 Women COME ON LADIES WE CAN DO THIS!!


Tell all girls/lady divers you know. This is your chance to go down in history and help out the Foundation at the same time.


Spaces are first come first served basis, due to safety and operational reasons, please call DiveTech as soon as possible to book your spot, CI$25 secures your place.


Please call with card details & for further information - 345-946-5658 (local) or our toll-free number 1-877-946-5658 (US/Canada only) 07.30am - 5pm EST with your credit card details (AMEX not accepted) or drop into the dive shop.


They will need the following information:



  • Name (ages if younger than 16);

  • Experience level, and approximate date of the last dive;

  • If you need any rental equipment, if so, what size do you take for BCD, fins etc.. Rates for a BCD & regulator combination is 30 USD. All payments for equipment rental will be donated to the Cayman Breast Cancer Foundation;

  • How much weight will you need?

Get creative and enter the Pirates Week Cardboard Regatta!

Lots of prizes to be won, including $1,000 in cash! There will be two divisions this year: Senior (Co-Ed) and Juniors (16 & under Co-Ed), as well as a prizes for the best "sinkers", thanks to Kirk Freeport! 2nd prize is $500, and 3rd prize is $250.

All vessels must be made out of “corrugated cardboard” only. No resin or wax-type coating found in packing cases may be used, nor any floatation aids such as wood, metal, Styrofoam, or plastic. All team members must wear like colored shirts, Fancy dress is encouraged. 2-4 team members per crew.

Cardboard can be collected from Kirk Market.

The 2019 Sneakers & Tiaras 5k will be on Sunday, October 27th, 2019 - starting by the Holiday Inn, Grand Cayman.

Encouraging all women of all ages to be strong, courageous, and inspire them to bring out their inner diva! Tiaras are only part of the fun this year honoring our woman power but for a worthy cause.

Participation Fee: $25 for Adults. Children under 10 participate for free. 100% registration fees will be donated!

Registration closes Friday, October 25th 2019. There will be no same day registration.

Prizes for All Participants. Kick Start Celebration an hour prior to with music, coffee, and confetti whistle blow!

We welcome all dudes to come out and support your divas!

Tiaras, Tutus, and Feather Boas are only a part of the fun again this year! 100% of proceeds will be donated!

The first Annual EnviroWalk Environmental 5K Walk / Run is to bring awareness to the environment and to encourage participants to make environmentally friendly life style choices. 

RESCHEDULED DATE IS NOW CONFIRMED: Sunday August 11th

Sponsored by Miss World Cayman Islands, F45 and Flowers Bottled Water.

Miss World Cayman Islands believes the Environment is very important to us and especially to our future generations and hopes to bring awareness to all residents of Cayman. Miss World CI also encourages a healthy lifestyle so this walk really aligns with what we are all about.

MWCI is a non-for-profit company who relies  on donations, sponsorships and fundraising. We are currently raising funds for our 2019 pageant which is scheduled for September. We hope you will join us in our efforts to bring awareness to the protection and preservation of the environment and our belief to live a healthy lifestyle. We appreciate your support. 

Please bring your water bottle, hats, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes!

It's a New Year people and that means a fresh serving of Ultimate Frisbee is on the table! Put those New Year's resolutions in motion and come down to the Annex field in George Town (beside GT primary school) for some casual, coed pickup games on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 to 7pm. Open to all fitness and ability levels, newcomers are welcome!!
