The DG5K in Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman is postponed given the temporary ban on public gatherings. New information will be provided as soon as it becomes available. Thank you for your support and understanding.

The DG’s 5K Challenge is an annual walk/run event led by Deputy Governor Hon. Franz Manderson, bringing together civil servants, private sector employees and members of the general public in a fitness and fundraising challenge. This is part of the Deputy Governor’s vision to have a healthier, more active and more socially engaged civil service, while benefitting charitable organisations and initiatives in the Cayman Islands.

The 2020 dates are:

The 2020 charities are the Cayman Islands Cancer Society, the MS Foundation of the Cayman Islands, and the Alzheimer's and Dementia Association of the Cayman Islands.

Registration is CI $25 for adults age 18 and over on event day, and $10 for children.

All registration is online via CaymanActive. Online registration will close prior to each event:

  • Cayman Brac - online closes 4th April 2020, 6pm
  • Little Cayman - online closes 18th April 2020, 6pm
  • Grand Cayman - online closes 24th April 2020, 6pm

Each DG5K event is BYOB - please Bring Your Own water Bottle. There will be water available along the course to refill your bottle as needed.

The 5K event in Grand Cayman is a timed event. All registration must take place by 24 April 2020 in order to be allocated a race bib with your assigned number and embedded timing chip. Race bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt (not on the back, shorts or shoes please.)

Online payment is encouraged. Cash payments can be made at the Government Administration Building, 133 Elgin Ave., main lobby on April 22, 23 and 24 between 9:00am and 5:00pm. Kindly note we cannot accept debit/credit cards in person, however a Cayman National Bank ATM is available in the main lobby if required.

Shirt and race number collection is at the Government Administration Building, 133 Elgin Ave., main lobby on April 22, 23 and 24 between 9:00am - 6:00pm. Items must be collected BEFORE race day.
