The Cayman Islands Triathlon

REGISTER NOW! November 28th is the confirmed date for the 2010 Cayman Islands Triathlon. Supported this year by Krys & Associates, this is one of Cayman's premier annual sporting events always attracting a strong field of local and international competitors, as well as keen amateurs and spectators. Leading up to the big event will be a series of optional, and informal, but strongly encouraged build-up events.

3 different events are available. Minimum age on race day is 15 years.

1) Olympic distance - 1500-metre swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run.
2) Sprint distance - 750 metre swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.
3) 10k Run

The 2009 Cayman Islands Triathlon

The 2009 Cayman Islands Triathlon, sponsored by Scott’s Equipment, was held on November 29th.

In the Olympic Distance, Marius Acker was the first man home with a time of 2:06:20 - Slightly slower than his 2008 time of 2:05:32.

Julie-Anne Pearson was first home in the Olympic Distance for the ladies, with a time of 2:34:58 - much improved on her 2008 time of 2:49:02.

In the Sprint Distance, Ray Welds came first for the men with a time of 1:11:02 and Katie Lambert was first woman home with 1:19:58.
