Sponsored by Ogier and organised by the Cayman Islands Triathlon Association, the Stroke and Stride is a 3-series race held every August. The event is a charity fund-raiser, and participants are asked to help raise sponsorship money if possible.
The 2010 receiving charity will be CARE - Cayman Animal Rescue Enthusiasts. CARE is a group of dedicated volunteers, whose goals are to assist the Cayman Islands Humane Society by volunteering time to exercising and socializing the many pets abandoned at the shelter and assist in the education of spay and neuter within the community. www.caymancare.ky

The event attracts a wide range of abilities; from those that regularly compete, to those that just want to get out and get some exercise in a fun environment. Both individual and team participation is available and everyone is welcome to race. If you are a solo runner or swimmer who wants to be part of a team we can put you in touch with a suitable race partner. And don’t forget you can enter just one or two of the races; you don't have to do all three.
As well as the incentive to get fit, an added bonus is the opportunity of winning one of the many top quality on-the-spot prizes up for grabs at each race, including a special bank of prizes for team entrants.
The race organisers are committed to running a safe event and in the interests of safety are requiring that the minimum age for participation is 13 years of age and that any junior under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. To this end, family teams are encouraged, in addition to corporate teams.
