The Cayman Islands Earth Day 5k

Everyone in Grand Cayman was invited to become a member of the Green Generation and "Go Green" at the 2010 Earth Day 5k Run/Walk which took place on Sunday, 25 April.

This popular event, once again sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, and organized by the Phoenix Athletic Club for the National Trust of the Cayman Islands, had its start and finish opposite the National Trust Office at Dart Park on South Church Street.The out-and-back loop course took participants past a number of national points of interest.

Marius Acker was first home for the men with a time of 17 minutes and 9 seconds, with David Cohen in second place with 17 minutes and 32 seconds.

Laura Knox was first home for the women with a time of 21 minutes and 25 seconds. In second place was Tracey Walker with 22 minutes and 26 seconds.
