The original good news... It was a long, hot, painful, yet satisfying journey. The Run Across Cayman was completed on March 14th in 11 hours and 27 minutes, which is an hour faster than the last training run I did. I got incredible support that I will never forget.
Roger the founder of Stay-Focused joined me for about 10 miles which offered incredible support and my personal trainer Anthony ran the last 18.5 miles with me. I could have killed him at many points in the final stretch, but he did his job and pushed me along.
Finally, Helen Thomas, from Pooley Cabinets, a major sponsor and invaluable friend was there all day to provide everything I needed to succeed.
I hope the pain and immense effort will be rewarded by many many more donations to the charities I wish to help.
The bad news...
Unfortunately, I will need to cancel the Run Across America due to lack of resources available to complete it safely. The commitments of companys and individuals support also fell through making it impossible at this moment to do this important event correctly. Those who did help out I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will figure out the accounts and make appropriate donations by years end. We were successful in our Run Across Cayman and raising awareness.
It's sad to say that I learned a lot about the state of humanity at the current time and am not pleased overall with people's desire to help change the world. I will continue to do whatever I can through teaching, writing, etc. My passion continues to be to help humanity and I promise to do so in any way I can.
