FAST Defense (www.fastdefense.com) has been voted the BEST Women’s Self Defense for Women in the Industry by Black Belt Magazine, yet is just as effective for men. It's also here on Cayman!
Using state of the art personal defense technology based on advanced mind and body research; the program is designed to teach people how to deal with the adrenaline and fear of a real attack. When fear induces high adrenaline levels, logic and technique do not determine an individual’s actions. Just as Victimization can occur in a matter of minutes, FAST Defense engineers an empowered positive outcome to difficult encounters in a very short time frame.
The outgrowth of this reconditioning is a reaction to preserve the self during times of high pressure and fear, as well as react well to virtually any level of conflict. Most individuals have experienced remorse over under-reacting or over-reacting to conflict. Those who have completed the training discover that these skill sets manifest into virtually every facet of their lives when challenges present themselves.
Using realistic scenarios and 30 pounds of protective padding including oversize helmets with mesh over the eyes, “Bulletmen,” looking a little like space aliens, recreate threatening situations involving violent assailants. Participants first use their voice, body language, and eye contact to dissuade the assailants, then if that fails, deliver full contact strikes to vulnerable areas such as knees, groin, head, throat, and eyes.
