Bodden Town after years of unsuccessful efforts at winning champions in the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) competitions have become the talk of the town regarding football in the Cayman Islands.
The club under the Presidency of Minister of Health and Sports the Honorable Mark Scotland, the coaching staff and support from the community has ascended to higher heights creating a stir in the Premier League and are now in line to take the first title of the Cayman Islands Football Association’s 2009-2010 football season.Â

Young Bodden Town has been a force to reckon with since last season taking the championship of the 2008-2009 First Division title and dismissing the then tough Elite to take the coveted FA Cup trophy of that season as well.
Head Coach Elbert McLean and his crew Al Frederick (Assistant Coach) and Manager Kennedy Kelly has transformed these youngsters into tough contenders. It was easy for them to dismiss Premier League table leaders Scholars International 2-1 at the preliminary stages and stunned the defending champions 3-1 on aggregate at the semis.
According to Coach Elbert McLean he has been preparing the players for this final and the results will reflect the team’s performance.
“We have played the toughest opponents to reach this final. First it was last season’s beaten finalists Scholars International and then the defending champions Elite. It was a rough road reaching this far, we cannot turn back now therefore the results will reflect how we play at the final.”
Bodden Town with the prolific Charlo McLean, frisky Kareem James, strikers Theron Wood and Arid Harris up front backed in defense by the lanky Luija Hernandez , Fabian Lewis and Mario Dinall in goal might just get pass the seasoned George Town team.
George Town however, will not be a walk over and the results will be news to everyone baring in mind the efforts that both teams will be putting into this game.
Bodden Town FC has achieved national success not only through hard work by the players but also through the efforts of President Mark Scotland, Head Coach Elbert McLean manager Kennedy Kelly, Assistant Coach Al Frederick, Physiotherapist Lanny McLaughlin and the entire Bodden Town community who have worked unremittingly with the club in every aspect.
