C.A.S.K. Karate is Developing Tomorrow's Leaders!

Posted on in Martial Arts

With Summer 2012 coming quickly to an end, parents getting back into a normal routine, and children going back to school, Cayman Associated Schools of Karate is looking forward to September!

Long-term and Short-term studies have shown that children involved in a traditional martial arts program (such as the ones offered at C.A.S.K.) will develop and improve the student’s discipline, focus, self-confidence, self-esteem, respect, leadership skills as well as many others. The development of these many valuable traits translates into the child performing better in an academic setting and life in general.

As well as the above-mentioned skills, the traditional martial arts program taught at C.A.S.K. will also develop and teach physical fitness, Japanese language skills, self-defense, goal setting, and etiquette.

C.A.S.K. teaches one of the four main legitimate styles of Karate in the world called Wado (the way to peace/harmony). Chief Instructor, Sensei Greg Reid (8th Dan, Wado) has lived and breathed karate for most of his life, and is the technical director of Wado Canada. Sensei Reid, who has been teaching Karate for over 30 years, believes that Karate should be accessible to everyone, and adheres to the philosophy that “we’re not selling karate, we’re teaching it”.

All classes are taught in a safety-oriented, and positive environment with no contact tolerated, so the youths develop to their full potential mentally, physically, and spiritually. The Youth in Cayman are the future, and at C.A.S.K. we feel it is important that we give our students the tools to be successful in life.

C.A.S.K. has a martial arts program for everyone. Regardless of age, gender, or fitness level, Karate is an excellent activity. In addition to the Youth Program, we also have programs for adults, with the Co-Ed, and Women’s Only Programs.

C.A.S.K. offers its popular Youth Program year round at King’s Sports Centre, and newcomers are welcome at any time.
