Stride Against Cancer

The 2013 Stride Against Cancer will be held on Sunday January 27th. Additional to the main half-marathon and quarter-marathon routes on Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach, we have course options in North Side and on Little Cayman (see below for separate registration information) too. This annual event is always held on the last Sunday in January - so go ahead and mark your calendars for as many years into the future as you wish!

Payment will be offline - with event bag collection and CI$25 payable at the Cancer Society Office.

SMB Half-Marathon Race (timed) - 13.1 miles - 6am - Public Beach, SMB.
SMB Quarter-Marathon Walk / Run - 6.5 miles - 7am - Public Beach, SMB.

North Side Stride - 7am start - From boat launch next to Over the Edge restaurant, ending at Kaibo. Transport back to boat launch provided.

LITTLE Cayman Stride - You can even STRIDE in Little Cayman... Our 6.5 mile Little STRIDE will take place on the same day, Sunday Jan 27 at 7am from the Southern Cross Club, Guy Banks Road. The SMB Long Course: Begins at 6am. It is an out and back course with the event starting and ending at the Public Beach on West Bay Road. The course goes along West Bay Road, through George Town and along South Church Street paralleling the coastline. Caribbean Paradise on South Sound Road is the turn around point. Participants are encouraged to start at the official start time as aid stations will not be in operation before this time. The course will officially close at 9:30 am and aid stations will close at this time.

The SMB Short Course: Begins at 7am. It is an out and back course with the event starting and ending at the Public Beach on West Bay Road. The course goes along West Bay Road with The Wharf Restaurant as the turn around point. All participants should start at the official start time. The course will officially close at 9:30 am and aid stations will close at this time.

The North Side Course: From boat launch next to Over the Edge restaurant, ending at Kaibo. Transport back to boat launch provided.

2011: Over 1,300 walkers and runners took part in Stride Against Cancer 2011 on Sunday, January 30th. The timed half-marathon winners were:
