Yoga Lite offers specific mind-body techniques for development of positive thinking patterns, mindfulness over daily habits and visualization practices to manifest change. Yoga Lite will revolutionize how you feel about yourself.

Yoga Lite is an effective way to gain and maintain a healthy body. Here’s why -

1) Practicing yoga increases body awareness and leads to mindful eating. This heightened sensitivity can promote weight loss in people who are overweight and prevent weight gain in individuals of normal weight. These findings were reported in a recent issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association.

2) Yoga helps you overcome anxiety which is the major reason for overeating.

3) Yoga directly influences the metabolism of body by acting upon hormonal functions.

4) Deep breathing (Pranayama) increases the oxygen intake to the cells of your body, including the fat cells which burn in contact of oxygen.

5) Yoga helps in achieving better muscle tone, strength and vitality.

6) Yoga makes you more open for change.

7) This ancient Indian meditation and yoga art is a great way to connect with yourself and develop self-understanding into your relationship with food.

More about your Instructor - Donna Mitchell

Lifestyle Consultant, Donna MitchellDonna Mitchell began the study of yoga after extensive travel and an awareness of the need for change in her own life on a returning flight home. A higher vista had appeared, and yoga was intuitively the next step on the course of her life.

Busy running a full-time business, Lifestyles with Donna,( specializing in weight reduction and healthy living), she fast-tracked her two-year Teaching Training and completed the course in one year becoming a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor in 2006 under the impeccable teaching and care of Diane Donovan, Body Works, the Cayman Islands.

Meditative and therapeutic yoga with healing overtones are the components of her teaching style. Donna leads yoga for guests at Morritt’s Tortuga inspiring them in the art of travel and transformation through yoga. She designed Body of Light, an eight-week yoga course linking the Hindu Chakra System with Christian concepts and scriptures. Living a life of passion after overcoming obesity (Donna lost 87 lbs in the 80’s) has inspired Donna to design and develop Yoga Lite now beginning at Bliss Yoga and Living.

“When overweight and overeating, I was really out of touch with my physical body and on an emotional roller-coaster ride. Yoga Lite will offer new tools to help you make friends with your body and live in a positive manner”. Donna
