Are you an emotional eater?

Fairtrade Chunky MonkeyAre you an Emotional eater? Find a healthy substitute!

When things go wrong, who do you turn to? If the answer is Ben and Jerry, you're relying on foods — in this case, Chunky Monkey — to comfort you and help you cope with life's daily crises. In the end, you'll become just as chunky as the ice cream. There's got to be a better way, right? Well, there is! The trick is to find an activity that's not self-destructive, or one that's just plain-old incompatible with overeating.

Lose the ice cream and start adding more physical exercise to your daily routine. Better yet, find a hobby that combines physical activity with socializing. Start taking your dog for longer walks. Get an exercise bike or join an exercise class. I could go on and on. There are any number of ways you can get your body going, but find activities you like so that you will have less trouble being motivated. Physical exercise helps reduce stress and keeps you feeling balanced so that you'll be less prone to emotional overeating. Take control of your life and start moving today!
