The pH Solution
Cayman Health & Fitness - Diet and Nutrition

Extra Fat is an Acid Problem!Research has discovered that acid is a cause of obesity. Fat is actually an over acidification problem. Fat is actually a response from the body to an alarming over acidic condition. The solution? Alkalize and Energize.

Healthy bodies are not overweight or underweight. A healthy body maintains its own ideal weight. You can begin to restore health, balance, and harmony to your body with alkalizing foods. As alkalizing and oxygenation begins to take place, the body naturally begins to seek its own ideal weight.

The most important first step, as mentioned above, for every person’s health is to alkalize your body. You need to begin by testing your body’s pH level. The best time to measure pH is first thing in the morning. Simply take a plastic cup or small, clean container and fill it with urine.  Then take a test strip of the pH paper and test it with the pH of the fluid in the container.  You should immediately see a change in color which you can then match against the color of the gauge given in the test kit.  When you check your first urine pH in the morning, your pH should be between 6.4 and 7.0.

The goal is to create the proper alkaline balance within your body. The way to do that is by eating the proper balance of alkaline and acid foods. That means 80 percent of your diet must be alkalizing foods, like green vegetables. (That percentage will go down somewhat once you've successfully rebalanced yourself.) That leaves much smaller portions of acid foods (such as meat and grains) on our plates. In addition, carefully chosen, high-quality supplements, such as Green Vibrance, green Lightning and Spirulina will help you achieve and maintain pH balance.

Over acidity can become a dangerous condition that weakens all body systems, and is very common today. It is a condition that may go undetected for years.

Mild acidosis can cause such problems as: cardiovascular damage, weight gain, obesity and diabetes, bladder and kidney conditions, Immune deficiency, hormone concerns, premature aging, osteoporosis, joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid buildup, low energy and chronic fatigue, slow digestion and elimination.

The reason acidosis is more common in our society is mostly due to the typical diet, which is too high in acid-producing animal products like meat, eggs and dairy, and far too low in alkaline-producing foods like fresh vegetables. Additionally, we eat acid-producing processed foods like white flour and sugar and drink acid-producing beverages like coffee and soft drinks. We use too many drugs, which are acid-forming; and we use artificial chemical sweeteners like NutraSweet, Equal, or aspartame, which are extremely acid-forming. One of the best things we can do to correct an overly-acid body is to clean up the diet and lifestyle.
