Our immune system: Keeping it strong means we are keeping ourselves protected from becoming vulnerable to illness. The immune system is a combination of cells and proteins that assists in the ability to fight free radicals. The immune system is also involved in the daily maintenance and repair of tissue.

Boosting the immune system is very easy, yet most people do not take the steps to support and stimulate the body`s ability to fight viruses and harmful bacteria. Here is what you can do right now to improve your health.

  • Vitamin C (helps protect white blood cells and fights free radicals): Use a buffered C as it is gentler on the stomach and one can take mega-doses of the product without any side-effects. Also include lots of sweet red peppers, oranges, strawberries, brussel sprouts & grapefruit in the diet.

  • Vitamin A (stimulates growth of white blood cells and aids in cleansing): Good antioxidant, with added benefits of aiding the eyes and helping with fatigue. Some foods you can also add are organic eggs, cod liver oil, sweet potatoes, spinach and carrots.

  • Garlic: Be sure to take an odorless garlic formula everyday in either a tablet or capsule. Use raw crushed garlic in soups, pastas, seafood dishes.

  • Mushrooms: Particularly Shitake, Maitake and Reishi help build resistance against viruses. You can find them in supplements also.

  • Echinacea (naturally improves body's immune system): Use a supplement that contains 400mg with at least 16mg polyphenols and 12mg chicoric acid at least twice a day for up to six weeks. Liquid is most recommended.

There is an endless list of other wonderful herbs, vitamins or foods you can use to fight those free radicals including CO-Q10, Probiotics, Zinc, Vitamin E etc.

Take the necessary steps to having a healthy and thriving body.
