POSTPONED - Pirate's Week 5k Sea Swim

When:
14 Nov 09
Category:
Swimming

It has been decided to postpone the 5K swim due to the rough sea conditions. Unfortunately this is an event that can not be organized and set up on short notice so we felt it in the best interests of CIASA to hold off until November 28th, which was going to be the date of the 10K swim.

The Pirate's Week 5k Sea Swim is a CIASA Open Water Swimming Event.

The 28th Annual Pirates' Week 5k sea swim is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th, at 8:30am at Governor's Beach.  Registration will take place prior to the swim, from 7:30-8:15am, in the Governor's Beach parking lot.  A registration form has been attached for your convenience.

The course will consist of a 5k loop, centred on Governor's Beach.  Given the long-distance of the race, there will be a 2 1/2 hr time limit for finishing, and participants under 12 require explicit permission from their parent and swim coach to take part in the race.
