Atom Parent Info - Revised

While Kings, by its nature is a fun place to be, we also strive to keep the safety levels up, both on and off of the court!  But we need all of the players and parents to observe the following policies to do so !  Note - These policies extend directly from the owner. alt

Dressing Rooms - the player dressing is room down towards the rear of the facility.  Players are not permitted to dress in the common areas.

To assist with the congestion in the player dressing room, please help us by:

Leaving sticks against the dressing room wall
Pushing all bags under the benches or picnic tables when finished
Do not leave any bags in any open area
Arriving Early for Practises and Games

Skates - Skates should only be put on after entering the facility, and removed before leaving the changing area.  Most of the doors are made of glass, and skaters should always avoid them.  The bathroom floors by nature can be wet, and skates should not be worn in there.

If you do not want to look or feel like this lady in the picture while at the rink - trust us on this info below !

Arrive Early - You will save yourself, any many others a significant amount of agony by showing up early for games.  alt This will give you plenty of time to locate any of your player's missing equipment or water bottles, get them dressed and avoid the chaos 5 minutes before your game starts !  Trust us - you don't want to get caught in the dressing room when the game before yours comes in !

Water Bottles - Label your water bottles !  Before each game, assist your player with carrying water bottles to the bench (place it in the holders provided to avoid any spills !)

Lost & Found -  The outer portion of Ray's office has a large grey bin.  All found water bottles and gear, are placed in there.
If you do not find your missing equipment in the grey bin; the mesh bag above it, has miscellaneous gear for you to borrow.  Please return all borrowed gear.
The missing gear will usually turn up in a few weeks, so keep checking the bin.

If you find any gear that does not belong to you in your bag - simply drop it off in the grey bin.

The coming season will operate from September 25th through till the end of May.  This will include extended mid-season breaks from Mid-Dec to February, and Easter as well.

More information will be posted regarding various camps, competitions and tournaments !

After the December break, all of the divisions and teams will be re-evaluated based on new registrants, and competitiveness between teams.  Adjustments may be made to divisions, teams or players to maintain an even programme.

Each team in the Atom programme is broken into A line and B lines, based on player skills, ages and size.  This usually takes a few weeks after the season starts to completely sort out, and the "gentleman" rules apply for code of conduct during the games.  Each "line" during a game is matched up accordingly, and both play the same amount of time.

Each game is Two - 21 Minute Halves.

Next Drop-In Session - Saturday, September 4th    12:45 - 1:45 PM

These sessions are great for all players to further develop their skills.  Sessions are normally chaperoned by volunteer parents and coaches, but the players are allowed a lot of freedom to scrimmage or work on various skills.  Often league coaches are present to organize games or assist with skills; but a lot of emphasis is allotted to "free-time".

Sessions are $10 / player and full gear is always required !

The C.I. Kings Travel Hockey Program is looking to head up to Orlando, FL ,October 8-11th to participate in the Echo Hockey Disney Tournament.  We are also hoping to introduce a 10U team this time !  You can read all of the info on the tournament at www.echohockey.com.  If you are interested in having your player participate, please review the try-out info at www.csa.ky.  There is also some more info regarding costs, age restrictions, practise schedules, fundraising, flight details, etc.  We will be holding a Parent Information Meeting next Tuesday, September 7th from 7-8 pm to answer more questions, and to explain in detail the procedures for tryouts, introduce the coaches, and go over the flight and travel details in full.
