Fruits & Veggies

Posted by Danielle Gentilcore in Health and Fitness , General News , General Exercise , Diet and Nutrition , Athletics

Danielle Gentilcore

Our parents, teachers, and doctors have been telling us that we need the proper servings of fruits and vegetables since we were in the first grade.  I can remember my mother saying “eat your carrots, they are good for your eyes”.   Even though we have heard it over and over again it is quite difficult to get the proper servings of those colorful antioxidant rich foods on a daily basis.  The majority of us that do try to eat our servings of fruits & veggies don’t realize that they are over cooked and the nutrients that we need have been cooked out or processed.  My mother introduced me to the next best thing, Juice Plus, providing nutrition from 17 vegetables, fruits and grains.  I have consistently taken this whole food based product for four years.  Over the years I have been sick only twice, my nails are strong, my hair is healthy, and I am never tired.  My friends ask me all the time “what is your secret”  I tell them “its a magical capsule - Juice Plus”.  It is affordable and convenient way to add the proper nutrition into your diet.  Oh, did I mention Juice Plus gets shipped right to your doorstep!  To order or read further about this whole food based nutrition http://www.juiceplus.com/+bg57316

Cayman World Cup of Football 2010

Posted by Andy Bonner in General News , Football , Cayman World Cup

Oh what a weekend that was! and oh what bad timing for the Blog system to let us down!!!!

Due to technical troubles, the Blog was down all weekend - so this is your one and only Cayman World Cup of Football Blog (from me at least).... BUT we still managed to cover all the games and get match summaries and pics up at www.caymanactive.com/worldcup.
What a Tournament that was for the whole world to see! Lots of exhuasted people both on and off the pitch (? arena ?). Proud of my team (Team England Red) - but respect too to all those that took part and congrats to the eventual winners - Honduras Light Blue. Some of whom were going straight of to play in the CIFA Premier League tonight..... Wow - Those guys spent more time playing football this weekend than I normally spend on my computer - and that means a lot!

Will check the online viewing stats early next week - Bigger and better than last year we're thinking. Always good to see what countries around the World are watching!!!!!

Yoga in Nature

Posted by Danielle Gentilcore in Yoga and Pilates , Website News , Sports , Health and Fitness , Diet and Nutrition , Athletics

Danielle Gentilcore

What a wonderful way to start the day, our free yoga class in Dart Park was a rejuvenating experience!   Enjoying the connection with nature was  a truly amazing feeling.  The breeze was a relaxing sensation allowing us to connect our breath with the sea.  Taking that sensation with us off of our mats and into our daily lives can be a challenge.  The more we practice the more mindful of our breathing we become.  Relieving stress from our daily lives is just one of the benefits of yoga.

If you missed out on this opportunity, please join us tomorrow, Tuesday 16th at 515pm -for another Free class, we won't start until 5:30pm for those of you who are leaving work and may be in traffic.  Please don't rush to get there, if you are late you can still join in, just walk through the park and find us.
